FLYING8 CONTEMPORARY HANDWEAVING CONCEPTS – WEAVING A BETTER WORLD

The FLYING8 loom developed by Andreas Möller / Weberei Hamburg is a complex handloom that sets new standards. It can be built with just a few tools from simple slats and battens, construction timber and cardboard, making it very inexpensive to implement and easy to realise almost anywhere in the world. Since 2009 the FLYING8 loom has already been built in 20 countries. Andreas Möller is the inventor and trainer for Flying8 loom construction and the associated weaving technology for companies and organisations such as the UN and the GIZ (German Society for International Cooperation) in Africa, South America, Europe and India, among others.
